Professor Barry Fuller invited to speak at IIR Cryogenics 2025 about the challenges of Cryopreservation at Large Scale

Professor Barry Fuller, a leading expert in cryobiology and leading contributor in the development of the cryopreservable HepatiCan Bioartifical Liver has been invited to speak at the prestigious 18th IIR Conference on Cryogenics, set to take place April 7–11, 2025, in Prague, Czech Republic. The biennial event, a cornerstone gathering for the international cryogenics community, will feature cutting-edge research and technological advancements in temperatures below 120 K (-153°C).

As part of the conference’s Cryobiology and Cryomedicine (C1) commission, the invited talk - "Cryopreservation at Large Scale: Current and Future Perspectives for Applied Cryobiology" - will be delivered during the session on Cell Cryopreservation in Large Volumes. The presentation will address emerging strategies, challenges, and innovations in scaling cryopreservation techniques for clinical and industrial applications.

IIR Cryogenics 2025 unites global specialists from Commissions A1 (Cryophysics and Cryoengineering), A2 (Liquefaction and Separation of Gases), and C1 (Cryobiology and Cryomedicine), fostering interdisciplinary collaboration at the frontier of low-temperature science.

This high-profile invitation underscores the growing importance of large-scale cryopreservation in supporting advanced therapies, biobanking, and regenerative medicine—key pillars of future healthcare and biotechnology.
